Amersfoort
Artist impression
Design for the Eem square, Amersfoort. The Eem square is a contemporary square along the Eem river and is closely located to the city centre. The square is meant to be an icon for the modern city. The relative quietness, the presence of trees and the well located terraces near to the water give the square a pleasant atmosphere. Vibrancy and flexibility are key elements for the design. There is room for quiet reflection, but also for a broad variety of (cultural) events.
